We showed up in the off season without a booking, soaking wet (it poured all day) with our bikes and Christina immediately welcomed us in. She even put all our wet gear in the dryer and offered us warm coffee and tea. She saved the day! The place was great and I can only imagine how nice the pool is in warmer weather.
We had two very comfortable and happy nights at the lovely, peaceful Villa dos Corcéis. The setting of rooms around a garden with a small swimming pool was idyllic, and breakfast was very good too! We had a warm, friendly welcome, and our host was extremely helpful in making our stay perfect. The small town of Fão is full of character and charm and close to so many natural attractions of the Northern Portugal coast.
Clean, soft beds, great breakfast. Christina, the owner, was incredibly nice and helpful. She made us a dinner reservation at a great local restaurant. Suki, their dog, made the place feel like home.
From the beginning, you can notice this guest house is different from industrial hotels. It’s a place made with love and care by the owners, who also care for and pay attention to their guests. We arrived at about 11:30, the owner prepared our room and allowed us to check in long before before 2pm which was extremely nice. In this guest house, I felt so relaxed and pleased. I definitely recommend this lovely place.
This was the best accommodation during our Portugal trip. Very nice owners, always helpful, nice rooms, an above average breakfast, only downside, the pool was a bit fresh in February... Not to forget the lovely Dog ...
