Just say I was “greeted“ would be a little generous. This is a place specializing in providing housing for pilgrims walking the Camino, but she looked at me. It was the first time she ever seen a stranger in a backpack and couldn’t quite figure out what I was doing there. The language difficulty is my fault because I don’t speak Portuguese. The feeling of the language was very unwelcoming. We muddled through the price and she directed me to a bench where I sat for 30 minutes, deciding to walk onto the next place.
Stayed in this place last month and I really enjoyed. First place since Lisboa that I felt the Caminho "aura". It has everything a pilgrim needs. Clean, pratical and simple with friendly hosts. Definetelly recomend it!
Nice albergue, 10 eur for a dormitory. They were full when I got there but they let me use the shower, wifi and camp out on the lawn for free. Very kind! Thanks a lot! 🙏❤️
Right on Camino, next to the famous roast piglet restaurant, five minutes to supermarket. Clean, crispy bed linens, comfortable, friendly host. Kitchen is simple but ok.
Stayed for one night in the albergue during the Camino. Nice and clean. Friendly personnel. Good restaurants and a supermarket in the vicinity.
