We stayed al Lily’s Alojamento local 28 May, 2025 just out of Monsanto whilst walking the Camino enroute from Lisbon to Spain. The owners Olimpio & Maria Joao Martins were the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and they even packed a breakfast for us (the night before) to facilitate an early start the following day. Their attention to detail was extraordinary and the place was spotless. John & Anne (Australia)
Lili's is an absolutely exceptional place and it is places like these that are the highlight of my travels! The room and guesthouse was cosy, spotless and the attention to detail and the love and thought that went into the decor was just incredible. The surroundings are beautiful and set only a few minutes from the Camino do Fatima, national parks and many hiking trails and outstanding natural beauty is enough to keep any nature lover busy for quite some time. The breakfast was enough to satisfy those with even the greatest appetites and fresh coffee and cake by the fire in the evening a loving touch. I'll remember the warmth, helpfulness and kindness displayed by Maria João and Olimpio forever. Thank you very much for everything and I can't wait to come again!
Lovely B&B. Warm welcome from the owners Maria João and Olimpio with home made cake and tea on our arrival late afternoon. Very reviving after a long day walking the Camino do Fatima! We slept well and enjoyed an excellent breakfast including fresh strawberries the following morning. Olimpio recommended a great place for dinner in the nearby village of Monsanto which is about a 20 minute walk from Lily's.
Simplesmente maravilhoso! O alojamento superou todas as expectativas, um local extremamente sossegado, impecavelmente limpo, com uma decoração muito acolhedora que nos faz sentir verdadeiramente em casa desde o primeiro momento. Cada detalhe transmite cuidado e carinho, criando um ambiente tranquilo e confortável, ideal para descansar e desligar da rotina. Um agradecimento muito especial à Sr.ª Maria João e ao Sr. Olímpio, foi um enorme prazer conhecê-los. São pessoas de uma simpatia rara, sempre disponíveis e com um coração gigante. Fizeram-nos sentir não como hóspedes, mas como parte da família. Sem dúvida, um lugar para voltar. Recomendo vivamente a quem procura qualidade, paz e um atendimento humano e caloroso. We were welcomed by Olimpio as if we were at home in Italy. Olimpio and his wife are generous and warmhearted people who treat their guests like family. They were available and offered to be available for anything. The rooms and location were enchanting, like a true mountain home. Well-maintained and clean. He offered us an excellent lemonade upon arrival. Truly superb.
