A lovely place to rest and enjoy with a small park nearby. We were here at the beginning of April so it was very quiet, possibly not in summer. There is a gorge with many caves, it was very exciting to explore some of them.
Not a public campsite. Only for organised groups like schools, scouts etc. Turned up expecting to put up a tent for the night to be gently moved on. Fazer o quê?
Arriving at the camping site, was told by a (friendly) security guard i couldn't go down the road without a reservation. Called the site's reception, and was told i could only book at least 7 days in advance, which is not mentioned anywhere on their website. Had to find somewhere else to go.
Park is completely closed even though it is within their specified months of operation. No signs saying why.
The campsite is closed but you can still go to the river beach and the security guard said it is fine to camp overnight in the very large, shady car park. There are toilets and showers open from 8h-18h
