Fair value for the price (5 EUR at the time). Showers are okay, and plenty of drying space. No laundry service though and no air dryers
5* municipal albergue The building is well conserved, beds are very robust with a good mattress plus lockers. Beside the very nice rooms, they have a kitchen and laundry with a machine and tanks so you can wash your stuff - outside there is lots of space for dry clothes. Showers have a good pression and hot water. Perhaps the only negative point could be the numbers of toilets/showers for the amount of people, but if you go later in the afternoon, not after open/check in you will find the showers only for you 😊 The girl that is in the reception is very gentle and also recommended a place to eat. Congrats to Ponte de Lima Municipality for providing this building & infrastructure for the peligrins.
A simple small accommodation, suitable for one night for pilgrims. They have a lot of beds, there were about 15 of us in the room. Unfortunately, the room was on the second floor, but at least it has a nice view. The accommodation is quite close to the city center, you can get there via a beautiful bridge. There was hot water for showering, but no blankets were provided for the night.
If I could give it 0, I would. I've been to a few pilgrims hostels along the caminho, which were great , this is beyond any low level. 60 beds with 3 toilets and 4 showers, so far it's OK. One toilet with a broken door, no paper, one with a broken toilet seat, and another with nothing. Showers have only hot water that burns you. I'll recommend staying away from this one.
Nice hostel, kitchen was very nice clean and spacious. Toilet so and so, just 3 of them no soap, the shower is open (so if you like some privacy try use it at a quieter time of the day) They don’t provide sheets, the plastic pillow was very slippery, couldn’t stay under my head and kept slipping away, highly uncomfortable Cost €5 which was very low and justifies my 4 star reviews Location is fine, not many shops around (you’ll have to cross the bridge and head to the centre) but there is a big Lidl at 13min walking distance Very nice view from the top floor
