Casa da Travessa

We booked a double room and were pleased to be upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment which was well designed, clean and comfortable. It even had its own kitchen to make an early breakfast before heading back on the Camino. Excellent location in the centre of Ponte de Lima, the apartment overlooked a quiet street with a lovely ‘traditional’ supermarket selling a wide variety of provisions.

We loved our stay at Casa de Travessa. We were upgraded to a suite from a twin which was so luxurious and comfortable after a night on the Camino. The washing machine is free to use and is so appreciated while walking. We both slept like queens in the apartment. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Absolutely beautiful location and room. We stayed in one of the private rooms (brand new) and it has everything you need. Cristina went above and beyond to give us amazing service and is the sweetest person!! It has everything you need near by as well (restaurants, markets for food, clothing stores etc). Can’t recommend this place enough 11/10 😊 Rooms were amazing, had a fridge, dish washer, brand new showers/bathrooms. There is also AC and heating for the different times of year.

What a lucky find. In addition to the standard rooms, they also have a 2BR apartment, which we rented. It comes with a full kitchen and nice living room, with big windows opening onto a classic small street with a fruit vendor on the other side. Christina, the proprietor, is super helpful. Highly recommended.

Very clean rooms with a communal kitchen, free coffee and tea, washing machine and drying area. You get a very warm welcome from Christina who can give you lots of local advice. It is right in the centre of town, 50 m from the Camino route and there are shops, bars and restaurants close by. It was my favourite place for an overnight stay during the week it took to walk from Porto to TUI.
