Nice location along river but in back there is a bar where people made noise until 2 am. Air conditioning didn't work (staff told us it's turned off in the entire hotel once the weather gets cooler--n.b. we were here on Sep 28 and it was 80 degrees during the day). Terrible breakfast. Juice tastes like water. Eggs cold. Jam like water. Coffee machine without milk. Gluten free bread available but tasted like cardboard.

I could not give this 5 stars because I had a room facing the river, but the view was blocked by festival tents and a carnival. The room did not have dark curtains, only a sheer, so the flashing lights and noise from the festival kept me awake until 3 am. I had just completed 34 km on the Camino and was very tired, but the extraneous noise prevented sleep. The room itself was nice and clean, I had a small balcony and opened the windows for the fresh air.

Hotel needs some upgrading. Room okay but no tea or coffee making facility. Aspect very run down in immediate vicinity. There are restaurants and bars close by so dining choices are available. Overall a little underwhelming.

The hotel had smaller rooms but nice location on the water. The check in was ok, but when asked for a map, I was told to go to the information office right next to the hotel which was not true. The room and hall had an odor to it, so we had to open the balcony door to air it out. The breakfast was typical for all hotels in Portugal. All the staff were nice, but the Canadian lady at the front, wasn’t really helpful. Ponte de Lima is not worth the visit either, as the only thing to see is the bridge.

Stayed there one night. Rooms were modern but small. Breakfast was just OK, pretty basic. Parts of the hotel still look a bit outdated like stairs but most of it has been refurbished. The view towards an old swimming pool is not pleasant. Not sure why that swimming pool is not working and whether it belongs to the hotel. A bit of noise from doors bagging in the morning. Staff very pleasant.
