The room's air conditioner did not work. We told the receptionist and she said she would have someone check it. When we arrived back from dinner it was cooler but by the next morning it was back to 30 degrees which is 86 degrees F. We were so hot and did not sleep a wink which is hard when you are walking the camino!!
Stayed there one night. Rooms were modern but small. Breakfast was just OK, pretty basic. Parts of the hotel still look a bit outdated like stairs but most of it has been refurbished. The view towards an old swimming pool is not pleasant. Not sure why that swimming pool is not working and whether it belongs to the hotel. A bit of noise from doors bagging in the morning. Staff very pleasant.
Location was really good, its in front of the river. The room felt a bit crowded for me but it was enough for one person. Breakfast was pretty good it had everything you would normally have for breakfast
Great hotel in downtown Ponte de Lima. Nancy (the receptionist) was amazing. Catered to my every need. Spoke English brilliantly and offered me an upgrade too :) Thanks Nancy and thanks Hotel Império do Norte. I will be back.
A group of 4 weary ladies loved this hotel! The welcome and service from staff was always lovely, the room clean and comfortable and a good buffet breakfast, including scrambled eggs. Well worth every penny - thank you.
