The albergue is a little out of town, it is very clean but we would alert other pilgirms that there are no windows in some of the rooms; there was a lock on the gate where the kitchen appliances are located so only a small microwave, a small kettle and a small sink was available to use when we were there. There are tables and chairs in the kitchen but there is nowhere else to sit, no outside area. There is a small grass area to hang washing - it is across the road. The night we stayed there was a couple somewhere outside talking very loudly until 2am. The host was very friendly and welcoming, but we paid €60 for a twin room (no towels provided) for the night which turned out to be expensive for an albergue with so many limitations.

The room temperature a night was unbearable. There are no windows or fans. The site reports to have AC, but it is not available. There is no access to the kitchen, just microwave and dishes. Town accessible through dangerous main road.

I didn’t end up staying at the hostel but from what I saw when I went inside it was pretty cool. They have a weird process with booking.com they put a hold on your card but rather than charging your card they ask you to pay in person. I ended up not staying here because I did not like the general location but the owners were understanding and wished me a buen Camino.

A very average albergue on camino. Unfortunately one of the worst I’ve stayed at, although it is cheaper than most. The room with beds is a like a hall, the beds have curtains yes, although they don’t really hide the light and also if the person in the bottom bunk has the light it’s literally in your face on the top bunk. The door of the hall is very loud, also people in the common room were really loud even after 11pm which made it hard to sleep. The common areas are very basic, only tables to eat at. You are not allowed to use the actual kitchen, it’s private. The bathroom has enough showers/toilets but it’s very unpractical, no way to hang things. Pretty dirty also. The staff were very friendly though. It was an okay stop on camino, but I wouldn’t stay here again.

Great stay at Albergue da Meiga! We had a private room with a queen bed and it was perfect for us. Not too busy in this Albergue, perhaps because it’s 10 minutes away from town. More pilgrims should stay here, it’s very nice!
