The lady was super rude. We had to arrive a bit later because I went to the hospital and the lady was doubting and mad at us for arriving late. She said she told us max time to arrive 9 pm, when she never mentioned it. She said we could arrive anytime. Truely don’t recommend supporting this bussiness. 0 empaty. Wouldn’t stay here again. We arrived from a long walk, and the worst thing was arriving to a house with a grumpy looking lady that didn’t even say good night to us or welcome. 1 star review.
Although the rooms are a little rough the hospitality is worth 5. Her breakfast is also superb.
There was hair from previous guests everywhere, namely on the radiator in the bathroom and in my bed. The front desk lady was rude very dismissive and seemed very annoyed that I did not speak Portuguese even though most guests are international. The shower was a safety hazard as there was no bathmat or anything. I took a single step and almost fell in the shower. There are also cigarette burns in the sink
Staff was very friendly and lovely nature around, but the place itself is the bare minimum. Nowhere to eat or shop close by--someone from the nearest restaurant drives people to and from the hostel for dinner.
This is a regular place for caminho de Santiago, with typical simple rooms. The lady even offered to wash my clothes. It’s not the Ritz-Carlton, but then again, what are you doing here? If you are doing the Caminho de Santiago, this is an honest place, with friendly reception.
