Cute little place to stay along the Camino. It’s located directly on the path with a glorious pool and garden to relax in after a day’s waking. Honesty bar for a couple of drinks was well received as was a free shuttle down to the local restaurant for dinner. Make sure to pack a snack for breakfast as it’s not included and the closest place was shut on a Saturday morning when we would’ve loved a coffee as we set off. Thanks Helmut for a wonderful stay!

To avoid! Cold and unwelcoming reception because we arrived after 6:30 p.m., even though there had been a downpour and this part of the pilgrimage is very tough! We were cold because the radiator wasn’t heating! The hot water in the shower takes a long time to come and then it’s scalding — and all this for €66 plus €5 extra just because there were two of us! In short, this owner is only interested in making money, so AVOID!!!
For only 8 euros per night this place is a bliss for pilgrims. It has both back and front yard with an amazing view over the mountains. It is clean and has plenty of space. Kitchen is well equipped, paper linens for beds are provided. Cafe just next door and a slightly bigger shop 1km away.
I want to first start off by saying that Helmut the owner of this place was fantastic. We sent a message the night before and needed to have our luggage dropped off. He was more than accommodating by not only giving great instructions but also told us where to get food and other hints that proved to be EXTREMELY helpful on the Camino. Once we arrived he made sure we were comfortable and we all felt like this was one of the better places we stayed. He also called for transportation to a restaurant. The restaurant was just ok. When we returned he arranged transportation for our bags. I highly recommend Quinta de Leiras.
