Stayed here for 7 nights in August 2023 with a friend - this hostel was an amazing experience. Gagik and his partner were incredibly friendly and attentive hosts and were so kind to us. There wasn't anything they hadn't thought of and had everything we could possibly need and more. Everything was clean and all the rooms were cosy and lovely. We had a really nice street view from our window and an ensuite. Our rooms were cleaned and towels changed every day which we didn't even expect. All of this for a cheap price too! Location excellent too, a very pleasant 10 minute walk to the city centre. We both loved staying here and would definitely return and recommend to it anyone else. We loved meeting Gagik and being hosted by, and cherish this amazing experience!

highly recommend if you’re going to Santiago. location is perfect, less than a minute away from supermarkets, 15 minutes away from any major attractions you want to see, rooms were clean and tidy and when i first entered my single occupancy room (you do have to share a toilet and shower, you only have a sink in the room) it smelled sooo good. sheets were clean. great value for money and the staff were so kind and helpful! I cannot stress how nice they were :-) thank you for making my stay great! I felt very comfortable and worry free. as a solo female traveler, i felt quite safe. everyone had a key to their own rooms and Santiago as a city itself felt very safe to be in. If i ever do come back, i would highly consider coming back to this hostel again. Only con i can think of, is that the walls were quite thin and you could hear everyone’s activities. It wasn’t really a problem for me as everyone was super respectful and kept to themselves. Also, if cooking food is important to you, you might want to reconsider staying here as you don’t have full access to the kitchen but i assume, like for me, it won’t be an issue for many!

Just returned from staying at ArArAt Hostel for 3 nights and I would definitely recommend. It feels very safe, and the hostel is also very clean. It’s near to everything you need and want from Santiago and is also near to the train and coach station if you’re planning on exploring other places in Galicia. Above all, the owner is very very helpful and friendly, and made us feel very happy and welcome. Will defo be back :)

Great place to stay in Santiago de Compostela. Very near to the city centre just walking distance. As well good location to catch airport shuttle just around the corner. Clean, cozy and the owner is super sweet. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Good location on the street you could find restaurants, bars and several supermarkets. Only disadvantage was the constant noise coming from the street even at night.
