What a find. Clean, freshly renovated room with a nice view onto a busy street and a working heater. The shower was immaculate, with good towels and sheets. The location is very central, barely a 10 minute walk to the cathedral. The receptionist was incredibly kind and patient. She helped us multiple times with different requests and always made us feel at home. The only downside is that it was fully booked on the day of our return trip 😅

The Hostal definitely deserves 5 stars. The main reason being the sweet and caring personnel always trying their best to accommodate one's wishes. We had trouble with transporting our bags to the next destination (on the Camino) and this awesome guy came to our rescue. Stepping in to coordinate with the taxi-driver outside of his work hours at the hostal. Moreover, they were quick to help with our laundry and answered every single question we had about the different programs etc. Would recommend the place.

The receptionists were exceptionally kind, and made the guests feel very welcome. I was there for 7 nights and received a kettle, a plate and a fork upon request. The hotel is located in the first floor of a building and consists of a narrow corridor with 11 rooms along it. The room has all the basic functions one requires and the location of the hotel is very close to many restaurants and the university. One thing I will say is that the soundproofing is not ideal for light sleepers. One hears many noises, from the unplugging of electronic devices in the neighboring rooms, the showering noises from 5 rooms across and conversations in the corridor, occasionally also late night noises from people outside. The reasonably quiet times are from 00:15-7:00, but that is not quite enough for a good night sleep.

We had a great stay at Hotel Charro II! The staff was incredibly friendly and kind — they gave us lots of great suggestions for things to do and places to eat, all through WhatsApp, and were always available to answer any questions we had. We stayed in room 101, which was clean, tidy, spacious, and modern. Even though it faced the road, it was very quiet thanks to the double-glazed windows. The blackout blinds also worked perfectly, keeping the room dark even in the early morning. The hotel is located about a 15-minute walk from the historic center, which was an easy and pleasant walk for us. The only small downside was that we could occasionally hear guests in the neighboring room, but this didn’t happen often and didn’t affect our overall experience. Highly recommend!

I stayed here for 4 nights after completing my Camino. It was the perfect choice. Prior to arrival, staff was extremely responsive and helpful with all of my questions through WhatsApp and Booking.com. When I arrived, they were very welcoming and assisted with any questions and needs. Their hospitality made all the difference in my stay. I chose this hostal due to it being about half a mile from the busy center, because I wanted to be able to explore other areas of the city and have quiet nights away from loud bars and restaurants, which I'd experienced in the bigger cities on the Camino. There were black out shutters, double windows, a comfortable bed, and even a small bathtub, so I was able to get fully rested and recovered. The hostal was also very clean and located next to and/or very close to restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, shoe/clothing stores, massage/nail salons, yoga studio, laundry mats, and an airport bus stop. It was perfect, and if I do another Camino, I would definitely choose it again. The kindness of the staff truly made it a great stay.
