Nest El Camino

A bit pricey for what you get, but it was a welcome change after staying in Albergues for the previous week or so. Relatively close to central Santiago, but very close to the train station and non-tourist stores and restaurants. Overall I was pleased with my choice to stay here.

I love traveling off season. Our flight departed late in the evening but the nicest receptionist allowed us to stay as long as we needed. Perfect location. Spotlessly clean. We had a Tassimo coffee maker in the room and the weather was terrible. We didn't need to leave the room to enjoy a delicious beverage. We walked the Portuguese Camino so the perfect location of the hotel allowed us to leave the backpacks in the room and continue to the Cathedral without any luggage.

The location was good, it takes 10 minutes of walking to the old town. The staff seemed friendly and helpful. As for the room I had the worst bedbug experience here. They literally feasted on me from my neck to my feet. The itchiness drove me crazy that I had to find a pharmacy on Sunday. And I myself found and killed one of the big bedbugs inside the sheets. For almost 5 days my itchiness continued and it somehow made me feel uneasy. Another problem was the wi-fi. On the third floor it did not exist at all.

The room was exceptionally clean. Coffee machine inside the room and a cute balcony. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. I can highly recommend this place it’s 10 minutes walking from the busy centre. We are really glad that we booked this hotel.

Very friendly people, very comfortable room. Bathroom is a bit old, but the shower's brand new, overall very nice and clean. The location is great with a lot of nice bars and restaurants nearby, where locals seem to hang out.
