Estalagem de Santa Iria

One of my top three hotels in Portugal. This was our second visit. In peak season I assumed it would feel a little less serene and peaceful than in spring, but if anything it was the other way around. It's an absolute haven. The service is the best (by far!) that I have experienced at any hotel in Portugal, the air conditioning is unobtrusive and well set, the grounds are just stunning and the setting on the island in the river is impossible to beat. I am already looking forward eagerly to our next stay.

This is just the perfect spot for a family/couple break. The best location in Tomar, the Inn is placed in a small island in the city center and in the river. Small Inn, friendly service, affordable cost. This is a boutique hotel with all that is needed for walking around. I totally recommend!

We spent 2 nights here for our 15th wedding anniversary 💕. We have had an absolutely great time and ate some wonderful food in their restaurant both nights. We had requested ground floor room for easy access, and it was lovely with a garden/ river view. Walk in shower was perfect. After walking our legs off touring the fantastic Castle and Convent de Cristo, we really appreciated the spa and enjoyed a dip in the pool and a sauna followed by a relax on the beds with river view and lemon tea. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff really made efforts to ensure our comfort. Definitely exceeded our expectations, made our celebration extra special and we will definitely be back as there is so much to see and do in the area.

A lunch in a quiet place right in the middle of the city park. Elegant place, good food and smiling service.
