We loved staying at Horta dos Cedros. Rita was very lovely and she took care of all our needs without being pushy. She left us tons of food for breakfast which we fixed on our own. Again, much preferred than sitting in a room full of strangers. The location couldn't have been more perfect. The little house is situated in a sweet oasis in the woods, yet it's a 5 minute walk to the city of Tomar. In the opposite direction there is a country road which my husband and I walked one morning. It leads to a pretty waterfall and it was so nice to experience nature while so close to the city. Our house was perfect in every way, except we would have liked a coffee table by the couch and MORE HOOKS (no where we stay ever has hooks to hang towels, house coats etc.) We would definitely recommend this place. The Tree House wins our favorite accommodation on our Portugal trip! Stunning design, very clean, peaceful location with a short walk to town, very reasonable price AND a fabulous breakfast was included. We realized quickly that we made a mistake not staying longer. It was so lovely meeting Rita when we arrived & we immediately felt right at home. We also enjoyed the sweet dogs as we missed our own back at home. I cannot think of a single thing to improve!
Horta dod Cedros is located in a quiet area from where you can reach the center in 15 minutes by foot. The apartments are comfortable and the property has a swimming pool and free parking. The breakfast is very good and Rita is a friendly and kind person. We were only in transit but we were hoping to come back for a longer stay
Very unprofessional team, with communication issues.. they confirm and cancel the booking on the same day, leaving me with no place to stay in the last minute. Would definitely avoid at any costs
This place is really nice. We stayed in Casa da Árvore which has a private space at the back to relax and play with the dogs. The house has everything one can ask for, namely a huge confy bed and a stunning view to the convent and the castle. The host is really lovely. We definitely recommend it.
