The room was clean and comfortable, and from the balcony we could see the beautiful church in Tomar just by opening the window. The surroundings were very quiet at night, which made our stay especially relaxing. A special thanks to the wonderful staff for their warm hospitality — especially Pedro at the front desk, who carefully explained the nearby attractions and showed us how to change the parking into a 24-hour ticket. We also had the chance to meet the hotel owner, whose family-centered philosophy is clearly reflected in the way the hotel is run. It truly made us feel at home. Since the Convento de Cristo is currently under renovation and closed, we definitely plan to return to Tomar in the future — and HOTEL REPUBLICA will absolutely be our place to stay again.
Lovely hotel, and a great location. But it was the staff that made this hotel a 5!! everyone was very nice, helpful and accommodating, but especially Pedro - he was outstanding! Did not dine in the restaurant, but the breakfast was quite nice.The hotel is perfectly situated to tour the town, and there are plenty of restaurants, etc nearby.
Tomar is one of Portugal's gems and this hotel has the perfect location for exploring the history of the Templars and their impact on Portuguese history. The staff were all excellent but special recognition goes to Mateus and Beatriz.
The hotel and the staff is absolutely wonderful. We had a spacious and comfortable room with a small balcony. The bed had a comfortable mattress and wonderful pillows. A modern design while maintaining the Portuguese culture. The breakfast was amazing. The location of the hotel could not be better.
Central location right on the town’s square, beautifully designed rooms, and great service. Thank you Jose for welcoming us during breakfast and showing us around! We really enjoyed our stay!
