Great Albergue for Camino! Didn't make it to Tui, so I stayed in this albergue and was pleasantly surprised! Only 8 euro cost. It was Dec 23rd, so the slow season, but still 5-6 ppl in the dorm with me. Joel was on reception and very sweet and thoughtful-- it's nice to be welcomed with a smiling face after a long day hiking! Beds were plastic-y mattress and pillows with disposable covers given. Prevents bedbugs so I'm all for it. It gets cold (no heat) but I brought a good sleeping bag and was fine. Showers are nice and boiling hot-- amazing! Had paper towels, soap, toilet paper. Kitchen with stove, sink, fridge/freezer, laundry room. Utensils too. Great albergue, 5☆
I don’t know if this was just an exception, but we didn’t have a good experience here. The place wasn’t very clean, too many flies all over the place especially the kitchen area, which btw didn't have enough utensils available. The bathroom was shared with men and women, I don’t mind that, but if you do, be aware of it. They didn’t have a washing machine and the coffee machine was broken. The staff weren’t friendly and weren’t very flexible with check-in or check-out times. On the positive side, the beds were good, the location is convenient with a big supermarket nearby, and the place is quite spacious.
Great check in. No Sabana's at the time as sold out. Heated in November. Bathroom is shared incl showers. Kitchen setup not great. Why no mugs? Continente 3 Min walk away across round about. Opens 8am for breakfast, if you're on Camino. Self-Service lavandaria 5min walk away. On the Camino, so fab to walk straight into fort in the morning with nobody there!!
For €8, great. Full kitchen with kitchenware! Many other municipal albergues do not have kitchenware. There's a Continente grocery store across the street. Near the fortress town, too.
Decent Albergue in the Camino, we paid only 8€, the place is a little bit old but clean enough, however there is a lot of beds in a room and they don't give a blanket, it was pretty difficult to sleep but it's ok for one night I would say.
