5 / 5 One cute and very warm hostel. The perfect place to start the Camino or to stay over. Its location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the medieval town ~lively, full of character, and surrounded by great restaurants to explore. The rooms, bathrooms, and common areas are spotless clean. I’m especially grateful to the staff for their kindness and effort in helping me arrange luggage transport. Highly recommended!
1 / 5 My reservation was lost and rude Spanish lady working there left me standing outside while she smoked her long cigarette and kept saying no reservation. Large bed I booked and payed for was no longer available so I got a bunk bed. Room was loud with no front doors (!) and heat from the roof was uncomfortable. Nobody there for breakfast, I asked other pilgrims who woke up later, they confirmed no staff for breakfast, you had to help yourself with cheap toast and yoghurt (they promise to serve breakfast). Great marketing but sorry, I'd rather stay in communal albergue for a fraction of the price. Nice terrace outside on a little public square.
5 / 5 A delightful hostel beautifully positioned within the old fortress of Valenca. The beds are the best I've experienced at a hostel, carefully considered, each with privacy curtains, issued towell and sheets, bedside light and cellphone power station. Communal breakfast area with honesty box worked well to provide some additional treats such as port and snacks. A great stay, thank you!
5 / 5 A very well managed albergue. The rooms were spotless and comfortable. Bathroom was clean and shampoo, soap, towel and linen provided. Even a warmer blanket. Your backpack is safely stored in a locked cubicle and shoes at the door.
5 / 5 It was a perfect place for a rest day after reaching Santiago and then arriving in Valença to walk again. Cosy, comfy, peaceful and a cocoon bed to snuggle up and sleep. Location is in the old town with access to all I needed too. Immaculate!
