Modern hotel across the road from the fort/castle so good location. Shops, laundry, bus and rail stations all within walking distance. Airy, clean and very comfortable rooms. Quiet and relaxed at night. Reception is very professional and welcoming with a small bar and seating area. The breakfast buffet is large with hot and cold options and a nice view from the dining room.
I have mixed feelings about this hotel. It was unassuming and there were rugs for sale all over the place next door and on the steps, which made it look uninviting. The location though was great because it is across the street from the fortress within walking distance. The rooms are okay, clean, but the hallway is very noisy. We got up early to have breakfast and the coffee was all that mattered to us at that point.
They don’t have air conditioning, even though they say they do, which forces you to open the windows which allows a lot of flies come in. The hotel is also very dated. The breakfast is ok. The wifi is weak. The best thing about the hotel is its location next to the walled fort city. The gentleman at the front desk is super helpful. The lady who works in the afternoons is always on the phone for some reason.
Very great receptionists and staff. However, you can hear everything other patrons do through the walls of the rooms (doors opening, showering, coughing- everything) which makes the experience unpleasant and not restful. Rooms smell of chemicals, hotel is old and dark. Main issue is lack of rest from being able to hear everything outside of your room.
The hotel is decent enough, situated in a very privileged location. However, it could benefit from some upgrades in materials and infrastructure. The best thing about this place is its location, right in front of the fortress, and the breakfast offered. The infrastructure could be improved; it feels a bit cheap, to be honest. Nevertheless, I still had a good time, and the lady at the counter was super nice. One thing they could add is a laundry service, which would be a definite improvement. So, overall, this place is good for a quick sleep and go.
