Who doesn't want to stay in a Chocolate Factory? The hotel is the friendliest, with check in, check out kind and efficient, housekeeping goes above and beyond, and if they know you are waiting, they will come and tell you when the room is ready. The room sizes are large, and some have balconies off them. We loved the theme of our room. Very quiet and an easy walk into town or to the river. Breakfast is AMAZING! With a large plate of delights, fresh orange juice and coffee/tea. You can also special order at no added cost, bacon, eggs how you like them, Or oatmeal - all to order. The museum is fun, creative and interesting. The gift store - delicious!!
We absolutely loved our stay here! What a fun place! The location was excellent, and across the board, I have never stayed anywhere where every member of the staff was so friendly, welcoming, accommodating, and helpful!
Fantastic place to stay on the Camino. The museum was pretty underwhelming but everything else was fantastic. The rooms were clean comfortable and modern. The staff was super nice and who doesn't like choctlate smelling soap especially while walking the Camino. The location is right after you get off bridge if you are doing the Camino.
Very nice an unique afternoon spent in this lovely place. We were given some chocolate simples and had the opportunity to enjoy an afternoon tea, with hot chocolate, cakes and fruit to dip in a fondue of chocolate. This was a bit more expensive though.
Staying in a former chocolate factory was a new and sweet experience. The room was 2 story...small sitting room down and small bedroom/bathroom upstairs. Provided breakfast was excellent...huge tray of cakes, meats cheeses, pastries, fruit pancakes and chocolate for dipping. Also menu with eggs, bacon, and numerous other options. You have to have a hot chocolate at least once...dark, Rich and thick. Fabulous. All for a Very reasonable cost per night. Parking is a little tough...small cobblestone street. We got a good spot and never risked moving the car again. Very walkable area. Took an Uber (very inexpensive )if needed to go farther . All in all, recommend the experience
