I bought a few chocolate bars and boxes at Fábrica do Chocolate in Viana do Castelo. The staff were very polite, and the chocolates were rich and full of flavor. I highly recommend this place!

Who doesn't want to stay in a Chocolate Factory? The hotel is the friendliest, with check in, check out kind and efficient, housekeeping goes above and beyond, and if they know you are waiting, they will come and tell you when the room is ready. The room sizes are large, and some have balconies off them. We loved the theme of our room. Very quiet and an easy walk into town or to the river. Breakfast is AMAZING! With a large plate of delights, fresh orange juice and coffee/tea. You can also special order at no added cost, bacon, eggs how you like them, Or oatmeal - all to order. The museum is fun, creative and interesting. The gift store - delicious!!
