Gigantones Guesthouse

The MAJOR issue we had was the map directions from Booking Dot Com take you to the Jardim Hotel, which is a good block down the street. A Google search leads you to a location in town (much further away), not by the water. The owners should have double & triple checked to make sure the correct information leads the renter to the correct place. I dragged my luggage back and forth in the heat, and it wasn't pleasant. As far as the place, it's obviously newly remodeled and nice. There are a few choices which I don't understand. #1, no toilet paper holder. Toilet paper just has to sit on the counter. #2 No towel rack for the hand towel by the bathroom sink. #3 decorative full length mirror in the hallway is mounted about 10 to 12 inches out from the wall. I don't think it even looks that cool, but regardless it's an unnecessary thing to do and some one is going to hit it with luggage or their body. Lastly, I get it's Europe, but there's No Air Conditioning. The back window opens up to an 18 inch alley above a drainage ditch that smelled pretty much like a sewer. The front door opens to the street. Therefore there is no airflow. There is a fan (from what I can see on prior reviews on Booking, was purchased by a previous renter). I certainly don't want to sound completely negative. I gave it 4 stars because it's a beautiful place. New appliances, furniture, bed etc. Bathroom is huge. I'd stay here again, it'd just be nice to see the owners add a few finishing touches. (Note the Street View Picture isn't correct, the building has since been painted and another door (Apt 3) has been added.)

We stayed in the apartment with a balcony, and it was wonderful. Even though it's a one-bedroom, it has everything you could need. It's located right in the city center, making it incredibly easy to get around this beautiful city. The appliances are new and high-quality, the kitchen is fully equipped, and there are toiletries provided for every day of your stay. The cleanliness was outstanding. We highly recommend it, and if we return, we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Absolutamente Incrível. Sem dúvida nenhuma o melhor alojamento em Viana do Castelo. O lugar é tal como aparece nas fotos e ainda consegue superar, com a deslumbrante vista rio. A simpatia e disponibilidade do Sr. Nuno é irrepreensível. Sem dúvida nenhuma um lugar a recomendar e a voltar. 6☆

Tudo muito bom. Não é apenas um quarto é um apartamento todo equipado. Torradeira, chaleira, microondas, frigorífico, placa, etc, excelente wc com secador, todos os produtos de higiene, incluindo escovas de dentes e chinelos de quarto. Localização privilegiada a poucos metros do centro da cidade. A melhor relação preço/qualidade/ localização que conheço em Viana.
