We booked via AirBnB and the communication with Paulo from the start was responsive and helped answer some questions we had ahead of our trip (group of 6) - we had a late flight in but Paulo was there to meet us and pointed out all the relevant items. After he left he messaged with some useful instructions (bins etc) and some recommendations too. He was a very friendly and generous host - after seeing that we were staying as part of a Hen party, he delivered us a delicious bottle of Port which we enjoyed between us before going out that evening (and took 100ml each home!!). The place itself is incredibly spacious both inside and out, definitely recommend for big groups, and plenty of crockery to cater for that. The dishwasher was definitely used a couple of times..! The location is absolutely ideal. You step out the front door into a park, it's a 3 min walking distance from a Lidl, 5 min walking distance from the beach and a 15-20 min walk to the centre/river/metro. It felt like a safe and clean area to stay and the light was incredible at all times of the day.
An incredibly atmospheric accommodation. A rather old but perfectly equipped house. Several rooms, a living room, a garden, three bathrooms, and a kitchen with everything you need to prepare any meal. Clean and tidy. And above all, you can feel the charm of this place. It's close to the ocean and a Lidl nearby. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful (they easily arranged a taxi for us at 5 a.m. and printed our boarding passes). If you're planning a vacation to Portugal with a larger group of friends (up to 12 people), this place is for you! I highly recommend it!
Excellent service from the landlord. The house is in an unbeatable location: close to the town center, the beach, supermarkets, etc. However, there are some things that could be improved, such as cleanliness, the lack of fitted sheets on the beds, the lack of heating, some loose or broken pieces... but overall, we had a very good experience staying at this house in October, even when it was raining. We'll have to come back in the summer.
