The Lince Santa Clara Historic Hotel

We spent a weekend at this hotel and had a wonderful time. The room was spacious, with high ceilings with all the comfort of a modern hotel room. The view over the city / river / sea is stunning, especially at dawn / sun set! The SPA is spacious, comfortable and pleasant with a lot of natural light! Besides the pool, it offers a good sauna, steam bath and gym. The breakfast is rich in diversity. We had lunch at Mosteiro restaurant which brings together the traditional food of the region in a philosophy of sharing the dish around the table. Food at the bar is mouthwatering, even the simplest “Prego” is outstanding, not to mention the cocktails. We also had the chance to dine at Oculto which was an unforgettable experience! What makes it all possible is the staff. We were impressed by the attentiveness, kindness and professionalism of all members of staff! Well done to the whole team - we want to return soon!

The combination of buffet and à la carte options offered great variety and high-quality ingredients, making each morning feel like a treat. In the evening, we enjoyed a fantastic dinner at the Mosteiro restaurant, where the dishes were full of authentic flavours and beautifully presented. The wellness area was another standout. The indoor pool, spa facilities, sauna, and Turkish bath created the ideal environment to relax and recharge. It was easy to spend hours there without noticing time pass. But what truly elevated our experience was the team. Every staff member we interacted with was genuinely kind, attentive, and eager to help, making the atmosphere feel warm and welcoming throughout our stay. Overall, The Lince Santa Clara is a perfect choice for anyone looking for a luxurious and peaceful getaway in Vila do Conde — a hotel where history, comfort, and exceptional hospitality come together beautifully.

I spent a weekend at The Lince Santa Clara and it was an exceptional experience. The hotel is stunning, set in a beautifully restored convent and has a luxury decoration. My room was comfortable and beautiful. Breakfast was outstanding with high-quality buffet and à la carte options with plenty of variety. I also had dinner at the Oculto Restaurant, which was also a great experience. The spa area with an indoor pool, relaxing spaces, sauna, and steam bath is amazing. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!

Wow this hotel really blew our mind! Quiet luxury is the motto. The building itself is outstanding and they really did an amazing job with the renovation. The service was amazing so was the room and the food. You have to try the Michelin star restaurant - it was outstanding! We will never forget the experience spending our honeymoon at this beautiful hotel.

This hotel completely exceeded my expectations! From the restaurant, open to the public with its amazing food, to the outstanding service from the entire team, everything was flawless. The building itself is stunning, with beautiful décor and incredible attention to detail. The atmosphere is wonderfully peaceful, as the hotel is extremely quiet and serene. I absolutely loved my stay!
