My stay at Venceslau Wine Boutique Hotel was absolutely outstanding. I stayed here on my second night of the Camino and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I enjoyed both lunch and dinner, and everything was truly farm-to-table—fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and delicious. The food alone is worth the stop. The accommodations were excellent: comfortable, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. Most of all, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, making me feel genuinely cared for after a long day on the trail. This was a perfect blend of rest, hospitality, and exceptional cuisine. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through the area—especially pilgrims looking for a special and restorative stay.
Diego at reception was extremely helpful in finding a restaurant for dinner and generally full of knowledge about the wine industry in Portugal and sharing his love of his town. The room was fantastic and had a modern flair/style. All the creature comforts were included and were very intuitive. We only stayed for one night but wish it was for a couple more! We definitely recommend this hotel to all!
Based on the great reviews received we decided to book this place for an overnight stay during our recent Camino Portuguese walk and we have no regrets. The place is clean, nice, comfortable and well decorated. The service was excellent, Ms. Rita who attended to us was very pleasant, friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and the food was great. Highly recommended and definitely value for money.
Amazing! Your home away from home! This lovely place was clean, welcoming and all the amenities a Pellegrino or visitor would want! Definitely that small home town feel! Gabriel and Rita were so welcoming and such good vibes after a long day! The balcony to the back street and restaurant right next door were a perfect complement to the room! Bathroom is major! Hot water and a very modern shower!! Lots of pressure & clean towels! Plenty of sights and things to see in the immediate area! Will return when coming to Vila do Conde!!
Reception staff are helpful. Our room was a little tight/small. Hotel is well located; the hotel has a restaurant/bar downstairs, there are a few food outlets within 5-10mins walk, and an Auchan supermarket 600m north on the Main Street. Noise from other rooms was perceptible from our room.
