5 / 5 What a beautiful oasis after a day walking from Porto. Very welcoming and clean, the monastery is a lovely place to rest and recharge for the onward walk to Santiago (or Fatima). A welcome foot spa with salt and marbles to massage your tired feet was a highlight, and a lovely breakfast too. And a friendly black cat will give you a gentle rub and brush of her/his head as you leave!
5 / 5 One of the best hostels to stay at during your walk to Santiago!
It’s a very old monastery, beautifully well preserved, clean, and in great condition.
They have everything you need: good bathrooms, nice showers, comfortable beds, a kitchen with all the essentials for cooking, even a sink to wash your feet after walking and a place to meditate!
The staff were extremely friendly!
They offer both private and shared rooms. If you want a private one, I recommend booking in advance. They have plenty of beds, but during busy seasons, they can fill up by the end of the day, so be aware of that.
The breakfast isn’t very cheap, but there aren’t many places to eat for few kilometers.
5 / 5 I read that the bed was hard. It wasn't too bad. When you are tired, you don't have time to sweat the small stuff. Like the 2 other pilgrims that I shared the room with, we went to bed really early so that we could leave before sunrise to start the day. I enjoyed my stay. Nice place. Delicious breakfast.
5 / 5 Stayed here after the first day of my pilgrimage. Loved the place. It is a lovely old monastery. It has a lot of green space as well, and the volunteers were amazing; very nice and welcoming.
The place is very clean, especially the bathrooms. Thank you for the great work :)
5 / 5 A very special place to stay on the Camino! The albergue is set in a former monastery, which gives it a unique and peaceful atmosphere. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming — truly some of the most hospitable people we've met on the Camino.
There is a kitchen where you can prepare your own dinner, and they offer products to prepare meal on a donation basis, which is very thoughtful.
We had a private room on the top floor — it was clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view.
We can only recommend this place for your stop along the Camino!
