So comfortable. Small rooms of four (two bunks), each room with own bathroom. Temperature warm (on a cold night). Pilgrims evening meal delicious.
Owner was grumpy, the food was overpriced then he didn't give me my change. First time on this Camino I have experienced this...wouldn't recommend eating here. There are other places - we should have gone to the next place where I went last Camino. Stand by this review given the owner's reply. The wife did wish us Buen Camino and the fire was on but they were the only spots of goodness for me...
Overpriced food and drink, better walking 50 yards up for next cafe. The owner wore blue hygiene gloves which looked like he wore them every day. To reply to the owner below. Your meant to change the gloves after every use with food! Wee tip for next time... Food was nice but very much overpriced! (Additionally info in response to owner) No game is being played with you. I have stated the facts and added comments to your response, now for second time! Coming from a quality background in the food industry, I'm well aware of the standards which should be offered by cafes as the one you own. Instead of making negative responses to all the people who give you poor ratings. You should make note of them to see if there any way you could improve your business. Top tip from me, instead wearing blue gloves just wash your hands when a new customer comes in and make sure they see this! Then reduce your prices to be fair to the those people who bring good money to your business. Have a good day!
The RIGHT choice, trust me! I can’t still believe how lucky we were to find a room available in this albergue. Rooms for 4 people with private bathroom (perfect for us!). Everything is new, as they just opened in 2020. No smells, plugs for your phones, wardrobes, washing machine and drier… everything is just so convenient! And for the same price as the public one!!! The owners are very nice people, who offered us homemade food event though it was quite late for lunch. They also serve dinner and breakfast, or you can buy some juices and bakery (NOT industrial) pastries for your journey. As I said before, this place is like a dream. A real oasis in the Camino. The owners themselves have walked the Camino and very well know what do pilgrims need after a hard day’s walk…
The perfect place you would like to arrive at after a hard day walking. Delicious homemade local recipes, great wine and the care and joy of the two owners, Esther and Jorge, made my stay a dream. Pristine clean, very well equipped, easy to get to. Would repeat the whole Camino de Santiago just to spend another night here.
