2 / 5 I expected better for the price. Washing machines for an additional fee. Triple room is extremely small. Location is great for those traveling by road. No air conditioning. Has its own bar. There are no restaurants around. food can be ordered- by the way, the pizza ordered was excellent. There is a swimming pool, which is really cool. It was fine for one night, we are glad that no one bit us 😂because that was the first thought when entering the room😅
So, ok for one night
1 / 5 I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was by far the worst accommodation I experienced on the Camino.
The room was in terrible condition: pillowcases were stained, mould covered parts of the ceiling and walls, and there was even a hole in the roof. When I arrived, the shower was still wet, as if someone had just used it, it clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. The whole place felt neglected and unhygienic. When raising my concerns with staff I was told they repaint over the mould regularly to hide it and my room was due to be re-painted..
Getting to the property is also a nightmare – it’s located 1km up a steep hill on a bushy, poorly lit main road with no proper sidewalk, making it dangerous to reach on foot, especially after a long day of walking.
As for meals, your only options are either walking another 1km back down the hill to the only restaurant in town (which was an unpleasant experience, the staff were rude and seemed openly hostile toward foreigners), or relying on takeaway arranged by the hotel. Neither is ideal after a long day on the Camino.
This was easily the worst place I stayed during my entire Camino journey. It’s run down, unsanitary, poorly located, and not welcoming. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else and don’t be fooled by the pool.
1 / 5 My experience at this hotel was very disappointing. The level of service was consistently poor, bad attitude. The rooms do not have proper egress windows, which raises a serious safety concern in case of fire or emergency, as there is no alternative way to exit the room. Additionally, the rooms lack natural light and feel closed in and uncomfortable.
The shower setup is poorly designed: when using the hot water, heat can burn your self, very small shower.
Overall, the accommodations were unsafe, inconvenient, and not at all what I expected. I cannot recommend this hotel.
5 / 5 Ignore the negative reviews. We had a good stay here. Last night of the primitivo - standard was as good as others we had. It's only a short 500m off the Camino, and there is a short path nearby where you can start the final day without going back down the hill - staff were pleasant. Room was clean and tidy. Bed comfortable. Pool was excellent and a welcome relief on a hot day. No restaurant on site for evening dining - but easy to order food from local restaurant which arrives in less than 20 min. Good bar on site. Great cooked breakfast - better than most other breakfasts on the Camino. Good all round experience.
5 / 5 A bit out of the way but worth the journey. It had a lovely pool area which was very welcome after a long days walking. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was bacon and eggs with no alternative but it was good.Rooms were very clean and confortable
