La Aduana - The Lodging Experience

Absolutely loved my stay at La Aduana in Astorga! From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to make my visit comfortable, even assisting me with arranging a taxi and allowing an early check-in — something I was incredibly grateful for after a long journey. The rooms are modern, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed with everything you need to relax and recharge. You can tell there’s real attention to detail here, and it made for a very comfortable and peaceful stay. La Aduana is not just a place to sleep — it’s a perfect blend of warm hospitality and sleek comfort. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone passing through Astorga, especially fellow Camino travelers looking for a restful and welcoming stop.

Many things to love about this hotel. Especially appreciate the security and high tech checkin. Went through three secure doors before I got to the room. Needless to say, I felt safe!Room was spotless, AC - always a plus - was very quiet. Basically , silent operation. Room was modern and bathroom was likewise. Shower only and water temperature did not wander.

I had a wonderful 2 night stay at La Aduana in the Gaudi room with private balcony and view of the Cathedral and episcopal palace! Very comfortable and convenient to the train. Also it is possible to reserve the entire suite of rooms with common area and kitchen. I will definitely recommend La Aduana to family and friends visiting Astorga!!

We reserved the room with the balcony. It was absolutely beautiful. All the decor, fittings and fixtures were very elegant. The bed was super comfortable. Everything in the room was so clean. The view from the balcony was lovely and the location perfect, a very short walk to the castle and cathedral, also a big supermarket nearby. We were on the camino and this was a wonderful break, wish we could have stayed longer. We were able to leave our backpacks early so we could explore. The host was very responsive to our WhatsApp questions.

This place is a gem of a find. Perfectly located to visit restaurants, all the big tourist spots, and literally right on the Camino. It’s clean, modern, quiet, and couldn’t have been any nicer of a stay exceeding our expectations. Even though you basically self check in, ( they send you instructions online) the support and personal service was even better than what I have gotten accustomed to at the nicer hotels in Europe. Direction and guidance from the host was concierge-like and in our case needing to visit the pharmacy finding out which one was open when we arrived on the weekend and sending us a map to walk 2 mins from the apartment, and sending us restaurant recommendations to name a few. It was a great stay for sure.
