1 / 5 My overall experience with this establishment indicated a significant disconnect between the price charged and the value provided. The current operating model suggests a focus on non-inclusive pricing, requiring guests to pay additional fees for essential items, such as blankets.
Functionally, the facility lacks several standard conveniences expected at this price level. Notably, there is no communal kitchen space, and basic hygiene access is limited, with no dedicated sink for washing cups or personal items.
A significant concern was the environmental quality, as a persistent and unacceptable odor was present within the premises.
Furthermore, for travelers seeking a supportive or communal atmosphere, such as those on a pilgrimage, the high cost structure and lack of core amenities make this location less suitable than comparable alternatives. For two or more travelers, exploring budget-friendly motels or alternative private accommodation would likely result in better overall value and cost savings.
2 / 5 I did not stay here but I’m leaving my review based on my interaction:
- this is a municipal albergue but the rates are higher than the local/private hostels that have a pool
- I was charged €4 just to pick up my bag: my bag was directed and dropped off here by the transportation company, as it is a common practice on the Camino. Never have I been charged before just to drop off/pick up a bag from transport.
I can’t speak to the quality and service of this albergue but that bogus charge turned me off quickly, and they lost a customer for the day.
5 / 5 Best albergue since I started the Camino. Everything is warm here and you can clearly see
every effort to make you feel as good as possible from the family who runs it! The cooking is amazing and super healthy. I really suggest you to discover it on your own. 10/10
5 / 5 We slept so well here! Comfortable beds, clean bathrooms and not overcrowded! The family that runs the albergue is lovely, very homey. Good reasonable breakfast. Highly recommend!
5 / 5 Nice family-run albergue in a very convenient location. We found that it was also very clean, which is not a given on the Camino.
They don’t have a proper kitchen for pilgrims, which was perfectly fine for us, but I can definitely recommend to have dinner there, which was delicious 👌
