The El Molino hostel left an extremely unpleasant impression during my stay. Unfortunately, the owners' rude attitude was evident from the beginning. During the night, my friend who was with me had a rather unpleasant experience. On a summer night, she requested an extra blanket as it was cold in the region. However, to her surprise, she was told that additional blankets are only provided in winter. Despite having many blankets available, the owners refused to fulfill her request, which made her feel disregarded as a guest. This behavior from the owners truly negatively affected the impression that both she and I had of the hostel. Furthermore, the 13€ fee paid for the service was disproportionate to what the hostel offered. To make matters worse, I was surprised by an additional 1€ charge for disposable sheets. This practice of charging for basic sheets, which should be provided at no cost, is disappointing and inhospitable. Another evident flaw was the lack of proper laundry facilities. The only option was to pay an extra fee or wash clothes in the shower. This showed a lack of concern for guest comfort and an insensitive approach to the services offered. Additionally, when attempting to dry my clothes, I encountered another difficulty. All available areas to dry clothes were covered, resulting in inadequate drying and, consequently, damp and uncomfortable clothes. Unfortunately, my stay at the El Molino hostel was marked by these shortcomings and the owners' rudeness. Honestly, I would not recommend this place to other travelers seeking a welcoming and hospitable environment. It is essential for the owners to reconsider their policies and attitudes to improve the guests' experience in the future.
Read the bad reviews that are already written about this place. I would just repeat myself about the toilet situation, friendliness of the woman (maybe owner). She came into our room at 23:00 when everyone was sleeping turned on the lights and asked one person if the bag she had in her hand was his. Woke everybody up and didn’t even apologize. Everybody was so mad we couldn’t believe the rudeness of this hospitaliera! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! especially not for 13€
Had paella mariscos and alitas de pollo , the latter prepared perfectly spicy. Washed down with a refreshing radler. The owner is friendly and speaks impeccable english. Nothing is lost in translation. Nice place to stop by during the Camino.
Abel, the guy who runs the place, speaks perfect English and Spanish. He was so helpful, and food is amazing... I never write reviews and my experience has made me write one for the first time in years. It's an albergue as well. Come stay guys. 5 star for sure.
It was so horrible experience . This Albergue is located 2nd floor on the pub and the pub was so noisy until over midnight with so many drunken people out side.. but we couldn't close the small window because weather was so hot in the night. All customers were unhappy that situation. And entering door was shutted by owner. Nobody can not go out in the morning. We tried to call them but they didn't pick up phone. If there were fire .... eveybody would be in danger. I think it is illegal for fire regulation. Thay told that we can use 2 toilets (shower room). But I notice that one was locked over night with key. All gusts had to use one toilet only in the morning. They ask 12 euros for a bed without bed cover.. extra money 1 euro for bed cover . I.don't recommend this accommodation.
