The photos online were nothing like the room we had. Peeling paint, lamp hanging off the wall, rotten timber in the bathroom. You could hear the water from the next room. This place was not worth 55 euros! The cleaner was very nice when we arrived and helped us check in.
The room was clean BUT very very very noisy. I had the window on the main street and there was people talking until 5 in the morning . I am on the camino (the lady saw that i was veryyyyy tired), i choosed a single bedroom to rest and to have piece … impossible ; windows are old and are not isolated. Plus the room did not have the hair dryer and no service to Help.
Always a pleasure to stay at the HSM in Cacabelos. It’s the perfect spot for those seeking value for money when travelling on a tight budget. Clean, comfortable, functional and charming service from the staff at breakfast. Laundry facilities (self-service) are also very useful if you’re on an extended road trip or the Camino. Will be back!
Great ro.s with loads of space. Special mention to the ladies back at the reception office. They were so helpful and welcoming that it made us feel great. Laundry available as well. Thank you, Santa Maria.
Brilliant place. It's missing an elevator but the rest is great. Rooms are big and cleaned up every day. Breakfasts are good and good quantities. Recommended
