5 / 5 We have spent the last 5 weeks walking the Camino de Santiago and our travel company booked this accommodation for us. We stayed there a few weeks ago on the 2nd of October and that night we were the only guests. We are so grateful that we had this place booked for us. It was a simply wonderful experience. Gemma (Hemma) was the most wonderful host. The accommodation is very comfortable and clean. The history of her family adorns the walls which is a lovely thing to look at. The food, especially the dinner, was high quality. Thank you for your hospitality and the fantastic service.
Note: this place is on the alternative route of that days walking, which was great because there are far less people on that days walk.
5 / 5 I walked the Camino francés in September 2025. Having left Sahagun , there is a long walk to Calzadilla de los hermanillos
I stayed in the hotel for one night which included breakfast . The hotel was a family house before it was converted to a hotel.
Gemma the owner did everything in the hotel ( preparing the rooms, reception , chef , waitress , washing clothes ).
The hotel room was basic but nice and very clean . The food for dinner and breakfast was really nice . I got some clothes machine washed and they were ready ( dried) in a few hours.
Overall , i had a positive experience and would return again.
There was a spanish army unit camped near the town, so it was very safe !
For your information , my Camino travel partners were @Magichillholidays located in Ireland
5 / 5 Spent one night in this beautiful hotel slightly off the Camino. Our host was fabulous and provided us with a fabulous dinner and breakfast. Strawberries from the garden, homemade strawberry jam and a very good cup of coffee. The decor and the pictures of her family made this place very special. Highly recommend.
5 / 5 Excellent family run Hotel. Fantastic food all cooked by the host/owner and very comfortable accommodation. It is on the quieter route via Via Romana. Highly recommended. My 2sons and 1 very much enjoyed our stay.
5 / 5 This little hotel is directly on the Camino alternate route. It is a hidden gem! First off, it is a family run hotel and you can see the love and warmth that infuses it. The rooms are spacious, ultra clean, and very comfortable. The food is sensational and, if you ask, the owner, Gema, will give you a tour of the hotel and the family photos that adorn it (very classy black and white photos of a Spain long passed).
As for the alternate Camino route, I highly recommend that too. It is much quieter and, at least in the spring, the vistas are breathtaking.
I wish all the accommodations along the Camino were like this. Best place I’ve stayed yet!
