DO NOT BUY THE BREAKFAST unless you just want some sweet crackers in the morning. Probably the biggest ripoff ever. The host just wants your money and doesn’t really care for anything more. His attitude can use some improvement. The good: I can confirm they fixed the showers so warm water comes out. The beds and laundry area and bathrooms are pretty nice. The dinner was good.
The outdoor area was nice to hang out and talk. The communal dinner was really good. Do not get the breakfast it was a few crackers and some sweets and you had to buy your coffee. We requested the heat be turned on twice and it never came on. One gets the feeling the owner is unhappy as he said he dislikes pilgrims and did not want to see them anymore. He was put out anytime he had to do something. His wife was super sweet though and made the dinner fun.
DON’T BOOK! Extremely rude host! Worst attitude ever! First of all the advertisement is wrong. The price is not 5 euro. The host is very pissed of his job and pilgrims in general. You pay for laundry and he choose 15 minute program. No matter what you won’t. If you are not happy with the program he is telling you to go away. There was nobody waiting for the washing machine but still 15 minutes are enough for him. Wi- Fi only at the reception! Think about swimming? Think twice! The pool was very dirty. Don’t book! You will regret.
We really enjoyed our stay here. For 60 Euro we got a private room for two with a bathroom, dinner and breakfast. Fantastic value, the likes of which we haven’t seen elsewhere on the Camino.
Carlos is very friendly even past the language barrier! (Despite the negative reviews, some people just like to complain) the meal prepared was incredible and you just need to ask for seconds!! He made a mistake in booking me for breakfast but quickly realized and was not pushy on anything. Very cozy hostel and facilities. Highly recommend this stay, very affordable and welcoming for the pilgrim after a long day of walking! Also, despite other reviews mentioning and another pilgrim were able to stay inside late chatting as Carlos was more than willing to let us enjoy our stay
