Important breakfast stop for Pilgrims with great ham and egg sandwiches plus delicious chocolate ream filled pastries. Good coffee!

Stopped in on my camino and had the best tortilla I've ever had (and I've lived in various parts of Spain for the past 23 years) and was pleased to see not only freshly squeezed orange juice, but I got a whole pint of it too! Well worth a stop, pilgrim!

Best tortilla I have had in ages - filled with delicious veggies!!! The cafe is very busy and the woman working may be blunt with customers which may lead ti bad reviews. I think she is just very overwhelmed with hungry pilgrims and could use some help to run things

Food was decent but seemed a bit overpriced. No paper in the bathroom, and the woman working the counter got irritated when I asked for a roll. In fact, she was the worst aspect of the place. As I waited in line I saw that she seemed to be having a terrible morning, so when it was my turn I greeted her warmly and with courtesy (in Spanish), but she was still rude and ill-tempered. I rarely write negative reviews, but feel compelled in this case because the woman's attitude and actions were so dreadful. Three things I experienced or directly observed: 1. I ordered only a pastry and a glass of orange juice, and my friend directly after me wanted to pay for my drink. Even though we were paying with cash and told her who was paying for what, she got angry and refused to give me change from the €5 bill I gave her; she sneered and literally waved me away, and angrily commanded me to just tell my friend to give me €3 for the juice. 2. A young woman with Celiac had asked for a slice of tortilla with no bread, but the woman had pressed a piece of bread up against the tortilla anyway. The customer didn't touch the plate and very patiently and politely explained that she would have to have a slice that had not had contact with bread (Celiac can be very debilitating, and even a small contact with wheat products or residue can cause a serious reaction). The woman worker finally relented and gave her a new slice, but was incredibly rude and angry and dismissive the entire time. I think it is terrible to not want to make a simple accommodation (which actually saves you a little money) for a customer, and then to be so unkind to someone simply because they have a medical condition and *you* made a mistake. 3. Two elderly Korean women had ordered exactly the same thing, and paid with cards, but one was charged €7.50 and the other €10. They very politely and kindly asked for it to be corrected, and the woman worker waved them away because she was busy. After a while, she came stomping out angrily demanding to know who had accused her of overcharging them. The Korean ladies showed her photos of their orders, and their online banking receipts and were very mild-mannered and polite, but the woman became even more loud and angry. Even with the intervention of a kind and patient Spanish man on behalf of the elder ladies, and simple explanations and proofs of the "mistake", the woman made a big dramatic production of insisting that it was all wrong, and she had not made any mistake, and at one point even tried to insist that *they* owed *her* money, which was absolutely incorrect. Her behavior was shockingly awful. I would never give them my business again.

I experienced the true spirit of the camino here just a few days ago. I was one of the last pilgrims passing by for the day. The owner was moving chairs inside and seemed to be closing for the season. I asked if he was "cerrado" and he indicated yes. I continued on, then heard him call to me to return. He invited me inside and prepared a delicious bocadillo lomo and cafe con leche. When I tried to pay, he refused with a simple, "Buen Camino." This is what it is all about! Muchas gracias for aiding this tired peregrino with many kilometers yet to go to Burgos.
