Hostal La Corte enjoys an excellent location, right opposite Carrión de los Condes' main church and in its high street. The rooms appears to be recently renovated and are spacious enough and well equipped, with large and very comfortable beds. Service is kind and friendly. The attached and namesake restaurant is an excellent choice for lunch/dinner and breakfast alike. Highly recommended.
Our 6th day of cycling in Spain. The best meal by far that we had had. The hotel is excellent and amazing value for money. Very clean with a friendly welcome.
I listened to others reviews and went there for dinner with my girlfriend, we both ordered different meals and neither of us finished our food it was so bad. When I ordered chocolate ice cream for dessert, I got a cheap vanilla ice cream bar (made of sugar, not cream) with fake chocolate shell on it. 100% my worst meal on Camino Frances.
Had a very nice meal there. We thought the dishes were about the normal price as we had been eating out a lot on the Camino. What shocked us was the price of the little things, 8€ for a glass of house red wine !,3€ for 4 pieces of bread, 5€ for a bottle of water. Suddenly a meal I thought was 37€ ended up costing 48€. Sadly far too expensive for what it was. Quite poor value.
This is a restaurant that is in the middle of the town, so a location that is very convenient for everyone and with a special orientation to the pilgrims walking the Camino de Santiago. They propose a wide choice of foods, as well as a menu for the pilgrims, which is a good balance of choice, traditional dishes and reasonable price. The service is quick and friendly. They also open quite early in the morning, so to give the possibility of having breakfast even to those that are leaving very early, like many pilgrims do. Recommended!
