We spent 1 night here while walking the Camino. 2 twin beds and en suite shower. Comfortable, clean and quiet. I booked in advance with text over whatsapp. We had a nice lunch at a reasonable price. The night we were there the staff were closed for dinner. They arranged for us to eat elsewhere in town.
Booking.com our usual accommodation Goto told us there was nothing within 10k of El Burgo Ranero but we found this place via WhatsApp text messages and Camino sleeps.com. Maria patiently found out what we needed, and later booked us in and made us bacon and eggs for breakfast next day. She's a friend and the accommodation was perfect.
We found this wonderful restaurant 5 miles outside of Bercianos. What a great for breakfast. Definitely stop and enjoy their hospitality and good food.
Not the best place to stop after you’ve covered many miles. Waiting ages to be served at the counter, to then be charged €5.50 for a pastry (Paris/London prices) only then to be served with poor coffee and to top it all of, having the staff take the plates away from you when you haven’t even finished! 🙄
Myself and two fellow pilgrims ate here on 29 April 2025. We were staying somewhere else nearby. The food here was fantastic - a real find in a pretty small town. If you're walking the Camino (and you probably wont be here unless you are) do yourself a favour and eat in this place. We didn't have a reservation - at other times of the year it might be advisable. Great food and wine, decent prices.
