If I can give -5 I would. The man who run the place is obnoxious. He was drunk when I got in, yelled at me in Spanish when I politely used the translator to communicate with him. He moved close to me and kept pointing his finger at me, then started hitting me with his finger. He was obviously drunk and smelled like alcohol, then threw my money at me and kicked me out. Even if everything is booked do yourself a favor and don’t stay there! I by the way reported him to the police.

Great place to stay in Fromista as a Pilgrim on the way to Santiago de Compostela! Best price, clean facilities, basic kitchen, good location!

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Too expensive for having such a lack of a kitchen, unclean bedding with no paper sheets given, and terrible hospitality. The owner started a yelling match within 5 minutes of our arrival. Later he began yelling to his colleague about our group right in front of me. When I politely told him in Spanish that I could understand everything, he moved close to me and started yelling at me in a threatening manner. It was a terrible experience. Even if there are no other options available in town, do yourself a favor and walk to the municipal albergue in the next town. The spirit of the Camino does not live at this albergue.

General Franco’s spirit lives on here. Incredibly rude and aggressive host. Even refused to let us move our wet laundry inside overnight. He claimed it wouldn’t dry anyway. I feel deep empathy for his soul because he must suffer a lot to be such a disgraceful person.

They advertise being open online, but in practice they just close whenever they feel like it — quite disrespectful to the pilgrims, honestly.
