Simple pensíon heading out of Frómista.
As soon as I arrived, the manager of the guesthouse told me that the property was undergoing renovations and that I wouldn't mind staying at the Santiago hostel. At first, I was a little wary because I hadn't been informed. However, I think the change was a positive one, as the facilities were better, and they kept the same price as I had originally. The service was very good, the room was very clean, had a TV, and a bit of Wi-Fi.
We booked two double rooms at the Hostal Camino de Santiago, but they called us the same week to switch us to the Pensión, for the same price. They told us it was much better because it was an apartment just for us. We didn't like it. The apartment was cold, and we only had one bathroom for the four of us. It was on the other side of town, next to the main square, and there was a street party all night. We didn't get much sleep. We didn't enjoy the experience, I'm sorry. Maybe under different circumstances...
A guesthouse with a great location, next to St. Martin's Church. The staff was very friendly and flexible, offering plenty of advice on what to see in the city. The room was very nice and well-kept. We'll definitely return.
Although a brief visit, it was fascinating to discover so many wonderful corners of "hidden Spain." Regarding the café, the service was excellent; the lady who served us was very kind and elegant.
