Municipal, so you expect just the basics. But it is absolutely rudimentary. Crowded rooms with no heating so make sure you have a good bag or quilt. The proprietors don't seem to have bothered to make any effort to do more than the minimal. Bathroom basic, 2 showers with warm water and hardly anywhere to hang stuff. Only good point is that they take reservations and as options in Fromista are then, we were grateful.

For €14, near the price of a private place, there is no kitchen (only a microwave), no temporary bedsheets, and a 7:30 am checkout time (30 minutes earlier than any other albergue). No problem with any of this, but price accordingly.

As far as municipales go, I’d say this one is pretty good. A bit pricey for a public albergue, at 14€, but bathrooms are pretty nice, beds not bad (though awkward to climb into the top bunk) and room was nice with lots of light.

Everything was minimal. The bedroom was super cold. The hot water was warm. The automatic light in the bathroom was switching off after 20 second. But, it was open. Others were closed so 3 stars. When I checked in it was €14 . I gave her €20 and she gave me $4 in return - she didn't have and more change then repeatedly said, "it's ok, it's ok." So down to 2 stars. Given the choice I would choose a more welcoming albergue.

It was fine. Clean. Kitchen facility is nominal but for 12 euro the stay is with it. The woman treated me as a pilgrim really nicely. By people need to know it’s not a hotel.
