This was my first step into the Camino Frances and 3 weeks in have not found any where comparable! Our host Flor and the owner Joseph were amazing! They wanted all of us to feel at home and start the Camino in a positive way. The dinner was delicious and the breakfast the best so far! The location is perfect, across from the Pilgrims office. I highly recommend.
Wonderful experience. I stayed here on my last night after finishing the Via Podiensis. A warm welcome, great Camino spirit, delicious food and spotlessly clean. If I’m fortunate enough to be able to return to start the Camino Frances next year, I’ll be sure to stay here. Thank you 🙏💚
On my camino journey, no other alburgee compared to the kindest we received here. The beautiful home cooked food provided by Flor was the highlight.
Just the best place to start your Camino. Hosts Joseph and Flor are so kind and welcoming, and all the guests get to know each other with a big communal meal. The rooms are comfortable and clean. I could not have asked for a better experience to kick off my journey. I hope to be back some day!
This past August my brother and I stayed at Beilari on the eve of our Camino Frances. Staying there was one of the highlights of our Camino. As first time pilgrims we wanted to have a true communal experience to begin our pilgrimage. It was better than we had hoped for. Joseph and his team are the best! We were shown amazing hospitality and the homemade meals were outstanding. We even started friendships with a couple of the other guests. Our first Camino family! Rooms were simple and perfect. The shared bathrooms were spotless and there was never a wait. A covered outdoor courtyard had a laid back vibe for socializing and getting to know the other guests. It's also where dinner is served at a single large table. In the morning this is the staging area, connected by a door to the main street, where everyone begins or continues with their journey. Some pilgrims were walking North to South and St-Jean-Pied-de-Port was partway through their journey. The road begins right outside the door and the Pilgrim's Office is across the street. Beliari was the perfect place to begin our Camino and we will cherish the memories forever. The experience was magical for us and I can't imagine a better start to a Camino. Many thanks to Joseph and his team! With Love, Dawn
