Gite Compostella

Terrible experience. They confirmed my late check-in and, on the day of arrival, suddenly made it conditional on paying them €150 for a private transfer. They refused to honor the agreement and left me without a place to stay at the last minute. Arrogant, abusive attitude and zero professionalism. Strongly advise avoiding this place, plenty of more honest options nearby.

We arrived during a heatwave and the owner just told us that she's coming to pick us up from the train station. We found the place very clean and very reasonably maintained, we used the kitchen to cook our dinner. Very good experience. The downside is maybe some noise from the road if the windows are open in the beginning of the night.

Lydie and Christophe were very helpful from the beginning, giving us tips via whatsapp to get into the building and the room. The gite is very well located really near from the city. We rented a private room which was huge, the key to the room was very nice also. The kitchen was fully equipped, although we didn't have any meals there (because we left very early in the morning). It's an old place, but it has its charm and everyone there was super warm and friendly. It was a very nice experience.

We had booked a nice double room. It was on the 1st floor, clean, large with two windows. We received a friendly welcome. The bathroom was clean and pleasant. There was a pizzeria opposite where we could have a meal in the evening. We did not use the kitchen. Check out in the morning until 8am. For the price, absolutely recommendable. For us a good start for the Camino.

Nice, simply furnished rooms with wooden floors. Barely 5 minutes from the start of the Camino Frances. There is a toilet and a large washroom with shower cubicles on each floor. The owners are very helpful both when you arrive and when you are already on the road.
