Good value for money as a simple place to stay before the Camino. Proprietor comes across as gruff and stern on first impressions but is actually quite friendly, helpful and funny. Room 1 downstairs near the office/dining area is noisy. Closed with no access to room between 8am and 3pm. I would stay again.
I stayed here in Apr. of 2018 on my first night of walking the Camino de Santiago. As a pilgrim, it met all of my expectations. The bunk was clean, the bathroom and showers were also clean, and electrical near the bed. I met some great fellow pilgrims staying there. It was quiet which was nice in order to get a good night's rest. Breakfast was simple but welcomed and the host was very friendly. I would definitely stay here again for the same purpose when I go back and do it again. Buen Camino!
The owner of this place (Joseph) is a great host. The rooms were in good shape and very clean. Breakfast was VERY basic (bread and butter).
Great pilgrim place middle of the town. Friendly and professional owner, who's holding everything in his hand. He speaks French, Spanish, Basque, English and who knows what else. Clean, modern and well organised place. I am happy to know started my camino there.
Joseph is a hardworking, friendly, manager, with a delightful family. Gives good advice, and is willing to work with you to help you get on you Way. Nice man, nice Gîte; I pray I get the chance to stay again!
