We had dinner here and it was fantastic: elegant, quiet, absolutely delicious food and great service. My personal favorite was the peanut sponge we had as an appetizer.
We enjoyed our stay, a bit of a pampered stay after staying in an alburgue on previous Camino. Location was great and staff very helpful. Although we heard their dinners were very good, we didn’t get the chance to dine in the hotel. Would stay again!
We stayed Easter weekend so it was very expensive for what you get. Drinks in the refrigerator were a year out of date. The people we super nice. Probably a better deal outside holidays. Good choice. But, not my first choice. The atmosphere is upper class.
This was my starting hotel for my Camino Frances. It is one of the more luxurious hotels in St Jean offering a last chance at elegant French cuisine. The rooms are small but very comfortable. It is located adjacent to the old city and a two minute walk to the gate. If you wish to pamper yourself, this is definitely a good way to start. I slept well in the very comfortable bed. I loved the old world feel. Excellent food, clean and comfortable, great location. I would give it 5 stars, but the water was slow to heat and awkward shower setup in the bathroom, outdoor hottub wasn't hot.
