After a very long way we finally ended up at our hostel. Friendly host (Bincente), clean room for 8, good place to rest after a lingering Camino day on our way to Santiago
Lovely hosts and the views are outstanding. Unfortunately there was and issue with damp in the twin room that I was in. The location is up a small hill from town, not and issue, just be aware.
We walked past this albergue on our way to Orisson. Nice looking place. Well, it's up a really big hill and it would have been great to have seen a drinks machine there, but sadly it is not open to serve sandwiches or drinks to passing pilgrims . It is only open to people who stay there. Missed opportunity surely.
I started the Camino Frances in SJPDP and couldn’t have had a better start. The owner at La Coquille ensured that the pilgrims staying with him had a great start to their Camino, he is lovely! The garden, the ambient and the views were beautiful and the breakfast in the morning was the best of the whole Camino for me. Merci beaucop and see you again one day!
Lorna and her husband are lovely! She offered to drive us into town to pick up our camino passports in the morning. Lovely place
