I began my camino here on May 1, 2025. Maison Maje is truly a wonderful place to rest your head and prepare for your Camino. There is physical comfort and also visual comfort as Juliette has designed a place where one can 'come together' as they prepare for their walk. I look forward to the day when I can stay here again, if not to walk the camino but to share in the spirit that Juliette embodies. Gift yourself a stay here!
The best experience I've ever had to start the Camino de Santiago! Juliette is an excellent and attentive host and her place...OMG...It's so beautiful and cozy! Miss you Juliette!!!! Sending hugs from Alabama. I made the French Way on 7th of June. It was difficult but I got there and I'm so happy. Hope to see you again!

"Just like home"... I think that's truly the feeling I had during my short stay at Maison Mâje. A caring hostess, Juliette, with whom you can chat about the important things in life, a tastefully renovated house where you feel transported, a garden where it's nice to read, take a nap, and have breakfast... Not to mention a super comfortable dormitory where I was able to get some very restful nights' sleep! Thank you, Juliette, for your welcome. And I know that if one day the road calls me, I already have my starting point :)
As pilgrims who left from Le Puy and saw quite a few lodgings, the Maison Maje is below average in my opinion. No welcome from Juliette but a hospitable woman instead. A 3-bed dormitory shared with women is not very normal, a bathroom with an opening onto the room, not very discreet. A really light breakfast. We are more in the pilgrim spirit, lots of flashy things.
