Lovely Hostel and a family run business This is an oasis, it is a perfect place to actually stop and rest. The town is small so not much to see. We didn't leave the grounds. We were well looked after. All beds are low beds (no bunks). Dinner was great value and they don't force the three course pilgrims meal - you can choose and entree, a main or the full three course pilgrim meal. We really enjoyed this place, recommend for all pilgrims and grey nomads on road trips.

Hostel Los Templarios is housed in a purpose-built recent building on the verge of the hamlet of Terradillos de los Templarios, surrounded by a large ground. It looks nice from the outside but the overall experience was not positive. It offers both dormitory accommodations and private rooms and the private room we were given was very basically furnished, without even a small desk, and the shower is poorly built or assembled. Size was ok and also cleanness was acceptable. But the major fault was the lack of hot water in the morning, a serious and unacceptable shortcoming! It offers also a pilgrims menu, not bad but with limited choices and a very basic breakfast. Not recommended!

Reception staff were very polite and friendly. But no hot water in the shower in the morning, roof leaked, building made constant cracking sounds, walls were paper thin, food in the restaurant was awful - spaghetti sauce was from a tin, dessert was cheap items from Lidl so it felt like a rip off & no effort made to feed people nutritious food

The worst experience on the camino so far!!! Very uncomfortable beds, 2 plugs for 6 people, not fridge/microwave/boiler, no living room or chilling area, just a bar and the restaurant. Only good thing was the vegetarian option for dinner (salad and lentil soup). They locked us in without saying anything, so we had to use the emergency exit to leave in the morning (at 6:45). Highly un-recommend!!

This place has the potential to be a remarkable place of rest along the Camino for Pilgrims. Unfortunately, the owner seems intent to prioritize his experience over his customer's experience: 20€ minimum to use a credit card (keep in mind there is no other place to eat or shop for miles) 10€ to wash/drive clothes 9€ for a bottle of wine that retails for about 1€ 12€ for a pretty sad dinner including the worst wine that's ever been bottled We wanted to ship our bags ahead to the next location after a grueling 92km walk over 2,5 days but when we went to leave at 6am and the entire space was locked up. No one advised us we wouldn't be able to leave our bags until later in the morning. So our options were leave and take the bags or delay our departure and wait for them to open. Frustrating and silly. Everything is geared towards the owner maximizing his/her profit at the expense of the pilgrims. That greed pervades the place. My advice - skip this town altogether. Stop at Ledigos or push to Moratinos. The room and shower were average and it did provide a quiet place to stay. For that I'm grateful but if you don't want to be taken advantage of, don't stay here. Perhaps the owner will listen and learn to focus on customer experience as a way to drive margin instead of price gouging and using scarcity as a weapon.
