Beautiful newer albergue. Has nice design and heating works great to be warm during a Camino in November. Sara the host was very nice and helpful. Cellular service isn't great, but the wifi works well

The accommodation itself is very good. Furthermore, due to its location on the Camino and being 10km from Sobrado, there aren't many rest stops here, so it's quiet. What's baffling is the lack of a refrigerator. The absence of kitchenware in hostels is common, which is debatable, but not having a fridge to take fresh water to the next day... On the other hand, the town has a pharmacy, a Civil Guard station, a supermarket, and bars for lunch or dinner.

The receptionist isn't up to the task, nor does she possess the minimum education required for the position. She's uncooperative and unpleasant. It was just my partner, me, and another man who stayed. She left before 10:00 PM, the time the front door closes. We arrived at 9:55 PM, and the other man, who could have been in bed, had to let us in. We asked if we could stay in another room since there were very few of us and there were extra beds, but she said no because then she'd have to come in early to clean and wouldn't get paid... in short, some people don't deserve their jobs.

Sara gave a very unfriendly welcome. Opening at 1 p.m., the aforementioned arrived at 12:55 p.m. to clean. I felt like we were disturbing her. The Wi-Fi didn't work like it did in all the other municipal hostels in Galicia; she told me to get lost when I asked her how to connect. The kitchen was devoid of utensils, of course, but the icing on the cake was the lack of a refrigerator—the height of it all. I'm definitely not going to set foot in any municipal hostel in Galicia again. Go elsewhere. edit

The hostel was recently renovated and very modern, but there were absolutely no utensils in the kitchen. It was also hot, and there was no cell phone service inside. Furthermore, I must criticize the vast majority of pilgrim hostels for using disposable sheets and for the lack of recycling bins on the premises. This is unsustainable practice on the part of the companies and/or organizations that manage these types of facilities.
