Albergue-hostel Casa da Gándara

Fantastic place and wonderful hospitality! We stayed here when walking the Camino two years ago and we ensured we got to return again this year because it’s a beautiful place to rest. From the moment you enter you will feel at home, both for the kindness and hospitality of its owner. The facilities are wonderful with excellent bathrooms, ability to cook on electric hobs or use the microwave, well stocked with crockery etc, cold drinks available, coffee machine and a lovely outdoor courtyard with comfortable chairs and even a foot pool to relax tired feet 👣 The luxury of having linen sheets(top and bottom), pillow case and a towel is a delight. Fabulous facilities for €20 and the supermarket, cafes are close by. We suggest staying “off stage” if you are on the Camino to experience this awesome hospitality, you will not be disappointed. We highly recommend staying here. Amazing place!

Albergue, very beautiful hostel. You can sleep together or have your own room. Depends on you. Mrs. owner is very accommodating and chapate woman. She's nice and cool. And it always helps. When you need to turn your laundry off the washer into the dryer. I get to the equipment where the washer, dryer, microwave, coffee maker. All you need. Beautiful showers and toilets. Vau. I warmly recommend. If you can no longer bet. With a wonderful woman. Thank you.

The room we were given was very nice with a modern new bathroom. We ate here and the food was homemade, delicious and came with a good bottle of wine at a very reasonable price. The owner was caring and helpful.

Casa da Gandara has to be one of the best Albergues on the camino Norte. Maribelle welcomed us a though we had known her forever. The garden is peaceful. I recommend Casa Gandara as the place to stop before arriving into the hussle of Santiago.
