This place is an old palace from the 1600s and it feels absolutely magical! The pool, grounds, rooms, water fountain and everything else about this place was phenomenal! This is THE NICEST place I have ever stayed at and I hope to return one day. The owners take great care of this place and clearly care about their guests. The dinner was expensive (33 euros per person) but worth it for the awesome experience of dining in the palace. The breakfast served here was also awesome and there were a lot of options!
This boutique hotel is truly special and has a majestical element to it. Waking up to breakfast by a large wood burning fire with such welcoming and accommodating staff was a great way to start the day prior to venturing out on the Camino. Make sure to have Rosario share the story of the hotel, the art, and the many architectural drawings that adorn the walls. Don’t forget to check out the little chapel to the left after you enter. Only regret is that I only stayed two nights. Wish I had at least one more. Thank you for the memories. A wonderful hotel I will never forget.
Amazing accommodations! Our group loved staying here 3 nights while we walked the Camino Santiago French route from Sarria!! The grounds are stunning, food outstanding (especially for GF) & hospitality top notch!!! I hope to return.
This is an exceptional property. This Manor House has been beautifully restored by its owners Rosario and Jose Manuel--creating a charming oasis which is both elegant and comfortable. Rosario not only welcomed me into her "home" but showed me every possible kindness. . . offering spa slippers when I attempted to roam the beautiful grounds barefoot (rather than exploring in my clunky hiking boots)! The food for both dinner and breakfast was excellent and presented in a manner you would expect from a top fine dining establishment. It also was well located for those walking the Camino Norte. I couldn't recommend this place more highly.
Stayed here while walking the Camino de Santiago. It is heavenly and I can't think of one thing that could be improved. You are treated like and feel like royalty. Plus, it's totally peaceful and endlessly charming.
